Mrs. Heather Reichert is taking center stage as the new advisor for Drama Club this year. Previous advisor Mrs. Kelly Sparks has stepped down from her position after six years due to shortage of time.

Although Mrs. Sparks stepped down from her position due to lack of time she said she will miss spending time with the Drama club members and even though things got hectic at times she enjoyed seeing it come together in the end.

Mrs. Reichert is looking forward to her new position. “ I am most excited to see students explore their own creative potential.  Drama Club presents a great opportunity for students to discover their own strengths and run with them, whether it’s as an actor, set designer, stagehand, student director, or team member.”

Mrs. Reichert has a very profound history with Drama Club. At her previous job she was a teacher within a correctional facility and had the privilege of directing her students to perform the play The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. Mrs Reichert also remarked, “ It was a thrilling to be a part of as a teacher.”

The club has not chosen a play for this year yet, but the plans are in the making.
